The system components allow maximum flexibility with a minimum number of unit variations such as motors, gear unit sizes or frequency converters, all of which offer a uniform user interface concept and the same functionality.

The open system architecture of the VLT®FlexConcept allows users to meet the demands of a new system development or a retrofit as all VLT® FlexConcept components are compatible with existing industry standard system components. The overall number of system variants in the plant could be reduced by up to 70% and cost savings of up to 25% compared to conventional systems could be achieved by using the VLT® FlexConcept®.
